inØsight ("the extension", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how inØsight handles user data.

## 1. No Data Collection

inØsight **does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or user information**.

- **No Analytics or Telemetry:** We do not use any analytics services, trackers, or telemetry tools.
- **No Remote Servers:** The extension does not communicate with external servers or third-party APIs.
- **No Account Required:** You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use inØsight.

## 2. Local Processing

All operations performed by inØsight—including text encoding, decoding, encryption, decryption, and signature parsing—take place **100% locally within your browser**.

- Text entered into the extension popup or detected on web pages remains strictly on your device.
- Passwords entered for encryption or decryption are processed locally in memory and are never saved, cached to persistent storage, or transmitted anywhere.

## 3. Extension Permissions & Content Scripts

inØsight requests permissions only to function as intended:

- **Web Page Content (`<all_urls>`):** Used strictly to scan text nodes in the Document Object Model (DOM) for inØsight zero-width Unicode signatures so the local on-screen decode/decrypt button can be displayed. No page content, personal details, or browsing activity is tracked, logged, or recorded.

## 4. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not share, transfer, or disclose any user data with third parties under any circumstances.

## 5. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, changes will be posted directly to this repository.
